The System — 7 Stages
Seven short, focused practice sections, each building on the last.
Start in the key of C Major and train your ear on the Root, 3rd, 5th, and Octave — Standard mode gives you the interval names, Bassmaster strips them away. Once you've got it, all 12 keys are available.
Two notes play — you decide: major third or minor third. No fretboard, no clues, just your ear. Your first step toward telling whether a whole song is in a major or minor key.
Learn to hear the individual notes that make up a chord, one at a time — the building block for everything that follows.
Take those same notes and hear them together, as a single chord. Train your ear to recognise major and minor harmony instantly.
Recognise notes on the fretboard by ear, string by string. Easy mode keeps you in the first 5 frets while you build accuracy; Bassmaster opens up the full neck once you're ready.
The natural counterpart to Stage 01 — train your ear on the minor scale, the sound running through roots reggae and modern steppers alike.
